Psalm 94, the Judge of all!

Psa 94:1-2, O LORD GOD, TO WHOM VENGEANCE BELONGS—O God, TO WHOM VENGEANCE BELONGS, SHINE FORTH! RISE UP, O JUDGE OF THE EARTH; RENDER PUNISHMENT TO THE PROUD.

Even though we long for vengeance against a wrong done to us, vengeance does not belong to man it is HIS and HE will repay the wicked!

Deu 32:35, VENGEANCE IS MINE, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.’ 

Psa 94:6-7, They slay the widow and the stranger, And murder the fatherless. Yet they say, “THE LORD DOES NOT SEE, NOR DOES THE GOD OF JACOB UNDERSTAND.”

Many believe, in ignorance, that the LORD doesn’t exist or that HE doesn’t see anything! YET nothing is hidden to HIM!

Pro 15:3, The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good.

Jer 23:24, Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the LORD; “DO I NOT FILL HEAVEN AND EARTH?” SAYS THE LORD. 

Psa 94:8-9, Understand, you senseless among the people; And you FOOLS, when will you be wise? HE WHO PLANTED THE EAR, SHALL HE NOT HEAR? HE WHO FORMED THE EYE, SHALL HE NOT SEE?

HE who created the eye and the ear can see, and hear all things! Don’t be foolish! HE shall render justice as the just judge!

Psa 9:7-8, But the LORD shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. He shall judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.

Psa 94:11-12, THE LORD KNOWS THE THOUGHTS OF MAN, THAT THEY ARE FUTILE. BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOM YOU INSTRUCT, O LORD, AND TEACH OUT OF YOUR LAW,

Most may never truly understand until they stand face to face with the JUDGE of heaven and earth! HIS word teaches wisdom to those willing to hear, and knowledge to those who humble themselves before HIM!

Dan 12:10, Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. 

Time is short for HE is near, chose wisely!

Psalm 93, clothed with Majesty!

Psa 93:1, The LORD reigns, HE IS CLOTHED WITH MAJESTY; The LORD is clothed, HE HAS GIRDED HIMSELF WITH STRENGTH. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved.

The LORD reigns; for there is no one like HIM, there is no other god like our GOD! HE is the creator of everything, and is worthy of praise!

Neh 9:6, YOU ALONE ARE THE LORD; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You. 

HE is clothed with honor, majesty, and strength; HE wears light as a garment, and sits on a throne of righteousness made of fire!

Dan 7:9, “I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire; 

Psa 93:2, YOUR THRONE IS ESTABLISHED FROM OF OLD; YOU ARE FROM EVERLASTING. 

HIS reign is without challenge, there are rebels against HIS reign, but have no hope of success! Satan said;

Isa 14:13-14, For you have said in your heart: ‘I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN, I WILL EXALT MY THRONE ABOVE THE STARS OF GOD; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH.’

Isa 14:15, YET YOU SHALL BE BROUGHT DOWN TO SHEOL, TO THE LOWEST DEPTHS OF THE PIT. 

Psa 93:4, THE LORD ON HIGH IS MIGHTIER THAN THE NOISE OF MANY WATERS, THAN THE MIGHTY WAVES OF THE SEA. 

I’ve been in the eye of a hurricane in the middle of the ocean and have seen the strength of 100-foot waves! The sheer power is amazing to see, YET are mere drops compared to the strength of the LORD! THERE IS NONE LIKE HIM, NO COMPETITORS TO HIS REIGN! HE IS THE LORD OF HOST!

Psa 93:5, Your testimonies are very sure; Holiness adorns Your house, O LORD, forever.

 HIS word is sure and HIS promises without fail! HE is faithful and just and HIS word have many treasures! Seek and you shall find!

Psa 119:18, Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law.

Psalm 92, It is good to give thanks!

Psa 92:1-2, … IT IS GOOD TO GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES TO YOUR NAME, O MOST HIGH; To declare Your LOVINGKINDNESS IN THE MORNING, And Your FAITHFULNESS EVERY NIGHT,

It is good to give thanks, because of what HE has done for us! HE is our creator, our redeemer, our blessed hope who has gone to prepare a place for us!

Lam 3:22-23, Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING; GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS.

Psa 92:4-5, For You, LORD, have made me glad THROUGH YOUR WORK; I will triumph in THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS. O LORD, HOW GREAT ARE YOUR WORKS! YOUR THOUGHTS ARE VERY DEEP.

Truly we should be grateful for the work of HIS hands, What HE has done for us! Because our works has brought in death and suffering, YET HIS work has restored the relationship that was lost in the garden; TO THOSE THAT SEEK HIM!

Psa 92:6, A senseless man does not know, Nor does a fool understand this. 

YET a senseless man only knows what he sees before his eyes! He doesn’t think of GOD at all, and is only focused on what he wants!  

Psa 10:4, The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. 

Psa 92:12-13, THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL FLOURISH LIKE A PALM TREE, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. THOSE WHO ARE PLANTED IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD SHALL FLOURISH IN THE COURTS OF OUR GOD.

Yet, in comparison, those that dwell in the house of the LORD shall grow in strength! A palm tree stands tall in the desert for it is nourished by GOD HIMSELF! A palm tree my bend in a hurricane YET not broken for our strength comes from the LORD!

2Cor 4:8-9, We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed

Psa 92:14-15, They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him

IN HIM WE CAN BEAR FRUIT, BUT WITHOUT HIM WE HAVE NO HOPE! SEEK THE LORD FOR HE IS GOOD, AND GIVE HIM PRIASE!

Psalm 91, Knowing the LORD!

Psa 91:1-2, HE WHO DWELLS IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH SHALL ABIDE UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, IN HIM I WILL TRUST.”

The majority of HIS people come to HIM ONLY in times of trouble, “LORD GOD HELP ME”! Blessed are those that DWELL in HIS presence in prosperous times and in times of trials!

Psa 91:3-4, SURELY HE SHALL DELIVER YOU from the snare of the fowler AND FROM THE PERILOUS PESTILENCE. HE SHALL COVER YOU WITH HIS FEATHERS, AND UNDER HIS WINGS YOU SHALL TAKE REFUGE; HIS TRUTH SHALL BE YOUR SHIELD AND BUCKLER.

BECAUSE YOU DWELL IN HIS PRESENCE day and night, HE shall protect you from all seen and un-seen things! 

Psa 91:5-6, YOU SHALL NOT BE AFRAID of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, NOR OF THE PESTILENCE THAT WALKS IN DARKNESS, …

The LORD tells us, in HIS word, not to fear, do not be afraid even of pestilence WHICH NO ONE CAN SEE, like Covid! BUT HE SEES IT!

Isa 41:10, FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU; Be not dismayed, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ 

Psa 91:7, 9, A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; BUT IT SHALL NOT COME NEAR YOU. … Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, YOUR DWELLING PLACE,

BLESSED ARE THOSE THAT DWELL IN YOUR PRESENCE! Not a passing visitor who comes from time to time, but he that dwell IN HIM!

Psa 91:14-15, “BECAUSE HE HAS SET HIS LOVE UPON ME, THEREFORE I WILL DELIVER HIM; I will set him on high, BECAUSE HE HAS KNOWN MY NAME. HE SHALL CALL UPON ME, AND I WILL ANSWER HIM; I WILL BE WITH HIM IN TROUBLE; I WILL DELIVER HIM AND HONOR HIM.

Knowing HIS name means having a personal relationship with the MOST HIGH! Do you know HIM? Does HE know you? Imagine being in HIS presence, face to face, and HE tells you the following!

Mat 7:23, … ‘I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME, you who practice lawlessness!’ 

Psalm 90, We are but grass!

Psa 90:2-3, Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, EVEN FROM EVERLASTING TO EVERLASTING, YOU ARE GOD. You turn man to destruction, And say, “RETURN, O CHILDREN OF MEN.” 

HE is our eternal FATHER without age, self-existing ONE who created the earth! YET, man is born and returns to the dust!

Gen 3:19, In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread TILL YOU RETURN TO THE GROUND, FOR OUT OF IT YOU WERE TAKEN; FOR DUST YOU ARE, AND TO DUST YOU SHALL RETURN.”

This wasn’t HIS choice; our grandparents, Adam and Eve, choose this for all man by disobeying HIS instructions!

Psa 90:4-6, For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. … In the morning THEY ARE LIKE GRASS which grows up: In the morning it flourishes and grows up; IN THE EVENING IT IS CUT DOWN AND WITHERS.

HE is eternal and we are like grass; here one day and gone the next!

Isa 40:6-7, …ALL FLESH IS GRASS, AND ALL ITS LOVELINESS IS LIKE THE FLOWER OF THE FIELD. THE GRASS WITHERS, the flower fades, Because the breath of the LORD blows upon it; SURELY THE PEOPLE ARE GRASS.

Psa 90:10, THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES ARE SEVENTY YEARS; AND IF BY REASON OF STRENGTH THEY ARE EIGHTY YEARS, YET THEIR BOAST IS ONLY LABOR AND SORROW; FOR IT IS SOON CUT OFF, AND WE FLY AWAY. 

My Father-in-law, WHO WENT HOME TO THE LORD YESTERDAY, used to say, “PRAY THAT I MAKE IT TO MY 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, BECAUSE I’M NOW LIVING BY HIS GRACE”!

Psa 90:12, SO TEACH US TO NUMBER OUR DAYS, THAT WE MAY GAIN A HEART OF WISDOM. 

Scripture tell us our lives are but a vapor, here one second and gone the next! It’s but a short time, but wisdom comes by knowing CHRIST JESUS and how HE paid the price for us! 

Joh 11:26, AND WHOEVER LIVES AND BELIEVES IN ME SHALL NEVER DIE. DO YOU BELIEVE THIS?” 

Paul said, “FOR TO ME, TO LIVE IS CHRIST, AND TO DIE IS GAIN”. THERE IS A GREAT REUNION COMING IN WHICH I WILL SEE AGAIN BOTH MY PARENTS AND MY FATHER-IN-LAW!  BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD! THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS! I BELIEVE DO YOU?

Psalm 89, Faithful and True!

Psa 89:6, FOR WHO IN THE HEAVENS CAN BE COMPARED TO THE LORD? WHO AMONG THE SONS OF THE MIGHTY CAN BE LIKENED TO THE LORD?

No one can be compared to the LORD; HE is self-existing without father or mother! HE Knows all and sees all! Past, present, and the future is always before in HIS eyes!

Isa 44:7, …WHO CAN PROCLAIM AS I DO? Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me, …. AND THE THINGS THAT ARE COMING AND SHALL COME, LET THEM SHOW THESE TO THEM. 

Psa 89:9, YOU RULE THE RAGING OF THE SEA; WHEN ITS WAVES RISE, YOU STILL THEM. 

Mat 8:26-27, But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” THEN HE AROSE AND REBUKED THE WINDS AND THE SEA, AND THERE WAS A GREAT CALM. So the men marveled, saying, “WHO CAN THIS BE, THAT EVEN THE WINDS AND THE SEA OBEY HIM?”

HE is the LORD Creator of heaven and earth; nothing is hard for HIM!

Jer 32:17, ‘Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR YOU. 

Psa 89:14, Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.

Yes the LORD is mighty, and we only see the edges of HIS strength, YET, HIS Righteousness and Mercies are the foundations of HIS Throne!

Psa 89:30, 33-34, “If his sons forsake My law And do not walk in My judgments,….  Nevertheless, MY LOVINGKINDNESS I WILL NOT UTTERLY TAKE FROM HIM, NOR ALLOW MY FAITHFULNESS TO FAIL. MY COVENANT I WILL NOT BREAK, NOR ALTER THE WORD THAT HAS GONE OUT OF MY LIPS.

While we are un-faithful, always wondering off like lost sheep; HE REMAINS FAITHFUL TO HIS PROMISES AND HIS WORD! HE DOES NOT CHANGE NOR DOES HE FORGET; HE CAN’T LIE NOR BREAK HIS COVENANT! THIS IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, FAITHFUL AND TRUE!

Isa 46:9, … FOR I AM GOD, AND THERE IS NO OTHER; I AM GOD, AND THERE IS NONE LIKE ME, 

Psalm 88, depression! seeking HIM!

Psa 88:1-2, … O LORD, GOD OF MY SALVATION, I HAVE CRIED OUT DAY AND NIGHT BEFORE YOU. LET MY PRAYER COME BEFORE YOU; INCLINE YOUR EAR TO MY CRY.

This is regarded as the saddest of the psalms. He knows that GOD is his eternal salvation, but his soul was in great grief!

Psa 88:3-4, For my SOUL is full of TROUBLES, And MY LIFE DRAWS NEAR TO THE GRAVE. I am counted with those who go down to the PIT; I am like a man who has no strength,

The Psalmist soul felt as if he was going to hell and is unable to do anything for lack strength! Reminds me of the words of JESUS on the cross of calvary when HE said.

Psa 22:1, …My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning?

Psa 88:8, YOU HAVE PUT AWAY MY ACQUAINTANCES FAR FROM ME; YOU HAVE MADE ME AN ABOMINATION TO THEM; I am shut up, and I cannot get out; 

The Psalmist felt alone his friends were far from him! JESUS also felt alone on the cross for HIS acquaintances stood far from HIM!

Luk 23:49, BUT ALL HIS ACQUAINTANCES, AND THE WOMEN WHO FOLLOWED HIM FROM GALILEE, STOOD AT A DISTANCE, WATCHING THESE THINGS. 

Psa 88:13, BUT TO YOU I HAVE CRIED OUT, O LORD, AND IN THE MORNING MY PRAYER COMES BEFORE YOU. 

YET, even though I feel this way, I shall seek YOU! LORD YOU shall here my voice every morning for in YOU I still have hope!

Psa 5:3, My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up. 

In deep despair the wises thing to do is seek HIM! You may feel alone lost in a crowd, YET HE sees you and knows what you’re going through! YOUR NEVER ALONE FOR HE CARES FOR YOU!

1Pe 5:7, CASTING ALL YOUR CARE UPON HIM, FOR HE CARES FOR YOU. 

Psalm 87, Born again!

Psa 87:1-3, …HIS foundation is in the HOLY MOUNTAINS. THE LORD LOVES THE GATES OF ZION More than all the dwellings of Jacob. GLORIOUS THINGS ARE SPOKEN OF YOU, O CITY OF GOD! SELAH

The whole earth belongs to GOD, but HE loves ZION “JERUSALEM” even the gates of the city!

Psa 24:1, THE EARTH IS THE LORD’S, AND ALL ITS FULLNESS, THE WORLD AND THOSE WHO DWELL THEREIN. 

Many glorious things can be said of Jerusalem! On this same mountain Abraham was willing to offer his son Isaac to the LORD; David ruled Israel from here; JESUS taught, healed and suffered in Jerusalem; The church was born here at Pentecost etc. YET, HE IS NOT DONE!

Rev 21:2, Then I, John, SAW THE HOLY CITY, NEW JERUSALEM, COMING DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN FROM GOD, PREPARED AS A BRIDE ADORNED FOR HER HUSBAND. 

This is the same city that Abraham waited to see the city made by GOD HIMSELF!

Heb 11:10, for he WAITED FOR THE CITY WHICH HAS FOUNDATIONS, WHOSE BUILDER AND MAKER IS GOD. 

Psa 87:5, And of Zion it will be said, “THIS ONE AND THAT ONE WERE BORN IN HER; And the MOST HIGH HIMSELF SHALL ESTABLISH HER.

This ONE and that ONE, GOD takes notice of the individual. No matter the size of the multitude of people the LORD can see you!

Psa 87:6, THE LORD WILL RECORD, WHEN HE REGISTERS THE PEOPLES: “THIS ONE WAS BORN THERE.” SELAH   

Is your name recorded in the BOOK OF LIFE? Unless your born again you will not see nor enter the kingdom of GOD!

Joh 3:3, Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, UNLESS ONE IS BORN AGAIN, HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”

Rev 21:27, But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, BUT ONLY THOSE WHO ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE.

Be prepared for HIS time is near! Call out to HIM for HE is always listening always willing to forgive! HE is the loving FATHER!

Psalm 86, Are we Righteous?

Psalm 86:1-2, Bow down Your ear, O LORD, hear me; ​​FOR I AM POOR AND NEEDY. Preserve my life, FOR I AM HOLY; ​​You are my God; ​​Save Your servant who trusts in You!

A Psalm of David, was he holy before the LORD? This is not a claim of being perfect, but he was set apart from other men to do the work of GOD! The LORD will hear his cry!

Psalm 4:3, But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; THE LORD WILL HEAR WHEN I CALL TO HIM.

Can we call ourselves righteous before GOD? Scripture says our righteousness is but dirty rags

Isa 64:6, BUT WE ARE ALL LIKE AN UNCLEAN THING, AND ALL OUR RIGHTEOUSNESSES ARE LIKE FILTHY RAGS;

Yet, the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous?

1Peter 3:12a, For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers;

When we come to faith in CHRIST JESUS, HIS blood covers us and cleanses us! So, when the FATHER sees us HE sees HIS RIGHTEOUS SON!

Isa 61:10, I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; FOR HE HAS CLOTHED ME WITH THE GARMENTS OF SALVATION, HE HAS COVERED ME WITH THE ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, …

Psa 86:5, FOR YOU, LORD, ARE GOOD, AND READY TO FORGIVE, AND ABUNDANT IN MERCY TO ALL THOSE WHO CALL UPON YOU.

The LORD is good, and merciful to those that come to HIM! Some call HIM the GOD of second chances; more like 10th or 20th etc. chances! 

Matt 18:21-22, Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” JESUS said to him, “I DO NOT SAY TO YOU, UP TO SEVEN TIMES, BUT UP TO SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN.

Peter thought it a lot to forgive his brother seven times, YET the LORD is full of compassion!

Psa 86:15, BUT YOU, O LORD, ARE A GOD FULL OF COMPASSION, AND GRACIOUS, LONGSUFFERING AND ABUNDANT IN MERCY AND TRUTH.

This is the LORD we serve, our loving FATHER who gave to us HIS only SON, JESUS, who gave all to save the lost!  THANK YOU LORD!

Psalm 85, HE is the way!

Psa 85:2-3, YOU HAVE FORGIVEN THE INIQUITY OF YOUR PEOPLE; You have COVERED ALL THEIR SIN. Selah YOU HAVE TAKEN AWAY ALL YOUR WRATH; You have turned from the fierceness of YOUR ANGER.

The Psalmist is looking back at the work of GOD! HE brought them back from captivity, forgiven their sins and turned from HIS wrath!

Psa 85:4-6, RESTORE US, O God of our salvation, And cause Your anger toward us to cease. Will You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger to all generations? WILL YOU NOT REVIVE US AGAIN, That Your people may rejoice in You?

LORD RESTORE AND REVIVE US AGAIN AS YOU DID IN THE PAST! THIS IS A PRAYER FOR A REVIVAL, A PRAYER FOR HIS PRESENCE! GOING TO CHURCH WITHOUT HIS PRESENCE MEANS NOTHING!

Psa 85:7, Show us Your mercy, LORD, And grant us Your salvation. 

We are all guilty in HIS eyes and don’t deserve salvation for HE is JUST!  HE being a Righteous and Just JUDGE must condemn us all sinners, including you and me!

Dan 5:27, … You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; 

Psa 62:9, Surely men of low degree are a vapor, Men of high degree are a lie; If they are weighed on the scales, They are altogether lighter than vapor. 

Psa 85:10, Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed. 

Mercy is what we seek, but the truth will convict us! HIS righteousness, HIS justice will not bring peace to the sinner! YET BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD THAT WAS SHED ON CALVARY WE HAVE PEACE!

Col 1:20, AND BY HIM TO RECONCILE ALL THINGS TO HIMSELF, … HAVING MADE PEACE THROUGH THE BLOOD OF HIS CROSS. 

Psa 85:13, RIGHTEOUSNESS WILL GO BEFORE HIM, AND SHALL MAKE HIS FOOTSTEPS OUR PATHWAY. 

1Jn 2:6, HE WHO SAYS HE ABIDES IN HIM OUGHT HIMSELF ALSO TO WALK JUST AS HE WALKED. 

JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, OUR EXAMPLE AND THE PATH TO FOLLOW!
