Psalm 69, Hated without a cause!

Psa 69:1-2, …SAVE ME, O GOD! FOR THE WATERS HAVE COME UP TO MY NECK. I sink in deep mire, WHERE THERE IS NO STANDING; I have come into deep waters, Where the floods overflow me.

A desperate plea for GOD’s help! David feels that he is sinking, nothing to stand on! Remember Peter when he walked on water!

Mat 14:30, But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “LORD, SAVE ME!” 

When Peter took his eyes off JESUS and focused on the storm he began to sink! NEVER FOCUS ON THE STORM, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE LORD WHO IS IN COMPLETE CONTROL OF ANY STORM THAT MAY COME BEFORE US!

Mat 14:31, And immediately JESUS STRETCHED OUT HIS HAND AND CAUGHT HIM, and said to him, “O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH, WHY DID YOU DOUBT?” 

Mat 8:27, So the men marveled, saying, “WHO CAN THIS BE, THAT EVEN THE WINDS AND THE SEA OBEY HIM?” 

Psa 69:4, THOSE WHO HATE ME WITHOUT A CAUSE ARE MORE THAN THE HAIRS OF MY HEAD; They are mighty who would destroy me, BEING MY ENEMIES WRONGFULLY; Though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it. 

David felt the hate for him even though he did nothing wrong! JESUS felt the same hatred!

Joh 15:25, But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘THEY HATED ME WITHOUT A CAUSE.’ 

They hated JESUS for the crowds that gathered before HIM to hear HIM speak! They hated HIM because HE sought and eat with sinners that they might repent! They hated HIM because HE revealed their true nature!

Mat 23:27, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, BUT INSIDE are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.

If they hated JESUS, they will hate us as well for we are HIS ambassadors to the world!

Mat 10:22a, AND YOU WILL BE HATED BY ALL FOR MY NAME’S SAKE….

HIS KINGDOM IS NEAR, HE IS AT THE DOOR!

Psalm 68, Self Existing ONE!

Psa 68:4, Sing to God, sing praises to His name; EXTOL HIM WHO RIDES ON THE CLOUDS, BY HIS NAME YAH, And rejoice before Him. 

JESUS was taken by a cloud, Act 1:9, And it is HE who rode a cloud in Dan 7:13!

Dan 7:13, “I was watching in the night visions, And behold, ONE LIKE THE SON OF MAN, COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him.

JESUS is GOD the SON who rode a cloud to GOD the FATHER! BOTH ARE ONE

Joh 10:30, I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.” 

HIS name YAH abbreviation of יהוה, JEHOVAH, means “SELF -EXISTENCE”; JESUS said “I AM”. HE JUST IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE ETERNAL ONE WHO INHABITS ETERNITY!

Joh 8:58, Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” 

Psa 68:5-6, A FATHER OF THE FATHERLESS, A DEFENDER OF WIDOWS, Is God in His holy habitation. GOD SETS THE SOLITARY IN FAMILIES; HE BRINGS OUT THOSE WHO ARE BOUND INTO PROSPERITY; …. 

The LORD GOD is our loving FATHER, who defends the widows, a father to the fatherless! HE gives the lonely a family and HE breaks the chains of those bound in sin!

Psa 68:32-33, Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; Oh, sing praises to the Lord, Selah TO HIM WHO RIDES ON THE HEAVEN OF HEAVENS, which were of old! Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice.

Once you know who HE is you will praise HIM, because HE is worthy to be praised! HE is the KING of kings, the LORD of lords who makes a cloud into HIS Chariot!

Psa 104:3b, .. WHO MAKES THE CLOUDS HIS CHARIOT, WHO WALKS ON THE WINGS OF THE WIND, 

TRUST IN HIM, THE SELF-EXITING ONE, FOR HE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE LORD!

Psalm 67, Righteous JUDGE!

Psa 67:1, …God be merciful to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us, Selah 

The LORD gave this blessing to Moses in order to teach Aaron and his sons, The High Priests, how to bless the children of Israel!

Num 6:24-26, “The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ‘

Psa 67:2, THAT YOUR WAY MAY BE KNOWN ON EARTH, YOUR SALVATION AMONG ALL NATIONS. 

By readings, and learning from the scriptures we may know HIS way; but, applying what you have learned in scripture to your life is when the true blessing come! NOT JUST KNOWING BUT DOING!

Mat 7:21, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, BUT HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER IN HEAVEN. 

It’s not about us, but it’s all about HIM!

Eph 6:6-7, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, BUT AS BONDSERVANTS OF CHRIST, DOING THE WILL OF GOD FROM THE HEART, WITH GOODWILL DOING SERVICE, AS TO THE LORD, AND NOT TO MEN,

Psa 67:4, Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! FOR YOU SHALL JUDGE THE PEOPLE RIGHTEOUSLY, AND GOVERN THE NATIONS ON EARTH. SELAH 

Today, our Godless leaders want to pack the court in order to get the results they want! It’s not justice they seek, but corruption!

Lev 19:15, ‘YOU SHALL DO NO INJUSTICE IN JUDGMENT. YOU SHALL NOT BE PARTIAL TO THE POOR, NOR HONOR THE PERSON OF THE MIGHTY. IN RIGHTEOUSNESS YOU SHALL JUDGE YOUR NEIGHBOR. 

BUT soon the LORD shall judge the world in righteousness!

Isa 11:3-4a, … And HE SHALL NOT JUDGE BY THE SIGHT OF HIS EYES, NOR DECIDE BY THE HEARING OF HIS EARS; BUT WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS HE SHALL JUDGE THE POOR, AND DECIDE WITH EQUITY FOR THE MEEK OF THE EARTH;

Righteous judgement is coming where even the thoughts in your mind shall be judged! SEEK HIM AND DO GOOD!

Psalm 66, Every knee shall bow!

Psa 66:1-2, …MAKE A JOYFUL SHOUT TO GOD, ALL THE EARTH! SING OUT THE HONOR OF HIS NAME; MAKE HIS PRAISE GLORIOUS.

The time is coming Where the whole world will one day be united in HIM and sing praises to HIS name! HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED!

Psa 66:4, ALL THE EARTH SHALL WORSHIP YOU AND SING PRAISES TO YOU; THEY SHALL SING PRAISES TO YOUR NAME.” Selah

One day everyone shall confess that JESUS is LORD and shall worship HIM!

Php 2:9-11, THEREFORE GOD ALSO HAS HIGHLY EXALTED HIM AND GIVEN HIM THE NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME, THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, OF THOSE IN HEAVEN, AND OF THOSE ON EARTH, AND OF THOSE UNDER THE EARTH, AND THAT EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.

BUT we as Christians do it now; for we know JESUS as LORD and savior!

Mal 1:11, For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, MY NAME SHALL BE GREAT AMONG THE GENTILES; In every place incense shall be offered to My name, And a pure offering; FOR MY NAME SHALL BE GREAT AMONG THE NATIONS,” SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS. 

Psa 66:6, He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him. 

HE parted the red sea and Israel walked on dry land (Exodus 14:21).  HE also parted the Jordan (Joshua 3:14-16)! HE IS NOT A PASSIVE OBSERVER, BUT AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN THE LIFE OF MEN!

Isa 43:2-3, When you pass through the waters, I WILL BE WITH YOU; And through the rivers, THEY SHALL NOT OVERFLOW YOU. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE FIRE, YOU SHALL NOT BE BURNED, NOR SHALL THE FLAME SCORCH YOU. FOR I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD, THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, …

THE LORD KNOWS WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH HE WILL BE THERE TO PROTECT YOU AND GUIDE YOU IF YOU ALLOW HIM! HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED FOR HE IS OUR GOD THE CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH!

Psalm 62, waiting on the LORD!

Psa 62:1-2, …Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

In times of trouble we get anxious waiting on the LORD to respond, But even in silence HE will refine HIS people; for we live by faith!

Mic 7:7, Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. 

Psa 62:3-4, How long will you attack a man? You shall be slain, all of you, Like a leaning wall and a tottering fence. They only consult to cast him down from his high position; THEY DELIGHT IN LIES; THEY BLESS WITH THEIR MOUTH, BUT THEY CURSE INWARDLY. Selah

There are people around us who delight in lies, they rejoice in speaking evil, Yet act if they are our friends only to uncover more juicy details! Like a leaning fence soon they will fall and will need to answer the LORD for their offense!

Mat 12:36, But I say to you THAT FOR EVERY IDLE WORD MEN MAY SPEAK, THEY WILL GIVE ACCOUNT OF IT IN THE DAY OF JUDGMENT. 

Psa 62:8, Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

ONLY GOD CAN BE TRUSTED AT ALL TIMES FOR HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED! OPEN YOUR HEART TO THE LORD FOR HE CARES FOR YOU!

Psa 62:9a, SURELY MEN OF LOW DEGREE ARE A VAPOR, MEN OF HIGH DEGREE ARE A LIE…

ALL MEN AND WOMEN FALL SHORT OF HIS EXPECTATION FOR WE ARE ALL SINNERS AT HEART!

Psa 62:11-12, …POWER BELONGS TO GOD. ALSO TO YOU, O LORD, BELONGS MERCY; FOR YOU RENDER TO EACH ONE ACCORDING TO HIS WORK.

ALL OUR WORKS AND WORDS WILL ONE DAY BE WEIGHED BY HONEST SCALES AND WILL BE TESTED BY FIRE! HE WANTS TO BLESS HIS PEOPLE WITH MUCH, YET WE BLOCK OUR OWN BLESSINGS! HE IS COMING, BE READY!

Rev 22:12, AND BEHOLD, I AM COMING QUICKLY, AND MY REWARD IS WITH ME, TO GIVE TO EVERY ONE ACCORDING TO HIS WORK. 

Psalm 61, Seeking the LORD!

Psa 61:1-2a, HEAR MY CRY, O GOD; ATTEND TO MY PRAYER. FROM THE END OF THE EARTH I WILL CRY TO YOU, WHEN MY HEART IS OVERWHELMED;

David often cried out to the LORD! Some may believe crying is a sign of weakness, but David was a strong king and warrior! But David knew where his strength came from! THE LORD!

Exo 15:2, The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him. 

Psa 61:2b, LEAD ME TO THE ROCK THAT IS HIGHER THAN I.

When our hearts are overwhelmed and we don’t know what to do or where to go; CRY OUT TO THE LORD FOR HE IS THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION! WE WILL NOT BE MOVED!

Psa 89:26, He shall cry to Me, ‘You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.’ 

David, being king, knew the highest place to be was at the feet of the LORD; for HIS ways are perfect and just! Trust in the LORD!

Deu 32:3-4, For I proclaim the name of the LORD: Ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.

Psa 61:3-4, FOR YOU HAVE BEEN A SHELTER FOR ME, A strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I WILL TRUST IN THE SHELTER OF YOUR WINGS. SELAH 

Like a bird protecting her chicks from danger, David wanted to be as close as possible to the LORD! He was remembering all the times the LORD protected him gave him shelter from his enemies! THE LORD IS ALWAYS WORKING IN OUR LIVES!

Joh 5:17, But JESUS answered them, “MY FATHER HAS BEEN WORKING UNTIL NOW, AND I HAVE BEEN WORKING.” 

Psa 61:8, SO I WILL SING PRAISE TO YOUR NAME FOREVER, THAT I MAY DAILY PERFORM MY VOWS. 

THE LORD IS STRENGTH AND SHELTER TO THOSE THAT SEEK HIM, AND TRUST IN HIM! HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED! SEEK HIM DAILY FOR HIS TIME IS NEAR!

Psalm 60, The problem of sin in the camp!

Psa 60:1-2, …YOU HAVE CAST US OFF; YOU HAVE BROKEN US DOWN; YOU HAVE BEEN DISPLEASED; OH, RESTORE US AGAIN! You have made the earth tremble; You have broken it; Heal its breaches, for it is shaking.

David knew something was wrong between them and GOD when he experienced defeat before his enemies! BUT WORSE THAN DEFEAT IS KNOWING THAT GOD HAS LEFT THEM ALONE! IT’S OUR SINS THAT BLOCK THE BLESSINGS OF THE LORD.

Isa 59:1-2, Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. BUT YOUR INIQUITIES HAVE SEPARATED YOU FROM YOUR GOD; AND YOUR SINS HAVE HIDDEN HIS FACE FROM YOU, SO THAT HE WILL NOT HEAR.

Psa 60:3, You have shown Your people hard things; YOU HAVE MADE US DRINK THE WINE OF CONFUSION.

Israel’s defeat was a hard lesson for them to take in! WHY, WHAT HAPPEN, WHAT DID WE DO WRONG; They were confused.  Like Joshua was when he was defeated in battle of AI!

Jos 7:10-11, So the LORD said to Joshua: “Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face? Israel has sinned, and they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them. ….

It wasn’t that GOD failed Israel or wasn’t strong enough to protect them, but sin got in the way of HIS blessings! The LORD tells Joshua, GET UP! HE DOESN’T NEED TO BEG THAT GOD WOULD CHANGE HIS HEART TOWARDS ISRAEL, BUT THAT ISRAEL WILL CHANGE THEIR HEART TOWARDS GOD!

Psa 60:9-10, Who will bring me to the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom? IS IT NOT YOU, O GOD, WHO CAST US OFF? AND YOU, O GOD, WHO DID NOT GO OUT WITH OUR ARMIES?

The LORD will correct those whom HE loves!

Heb 12:6, FOR WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE CHASTENS, AND SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.” 

Psa 60:11-12, Give us help from trouble, FOR THE HELP OF MAN IS USELESS. THROUGH GOD WE WILL DO VALIANTLY, FOR IT IS HE WHO SHALL TREAD DOWN OUR ENEMIES.

THE LORD WILL FIGHT FOR US, BUT WE NEED TO FULLY FOLLOW HIM IN ALL ASPECTS OF OUR LIVES! TRUST IN THE LORD!

Psalm 59, the LORD doesn’t sleep!

Psa 59:1-2, …Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; Defend me from those who rise up against me. Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, And save me from bloodthirsty men.

Once again David was in danger for men lie in wait for his life, but he was warned by his wife, daughter of Saul 1Sa 19:11! David looked to GOD to save him from his enemies!

Psa 59:3-4, For look, they lie in wait for my life; The mighty gather against me, NOT FOR MY TRANSGRESSION NOR FOR MY SIN, O LORD. They run and prepare themselves THROUGH NO FAULT OF MINE. AWAKE TO HELP ME, AND BEHOLD!

It wasn’t anything that David did, but that Saul knew David would be king after him! In desperation David said “WAKE UP LORD AND SEE”?

Psa 121:3-4, He will not allow your foot to be moved; HE WHO KEEPS YOU WILL NOT SLUMBER. BEHOLD, HE WHO KEEPS ISRAEL SHALL NEITHER SLUMBER NOR SLEEP.

The LORD doesn’t sleep, but is always at work blessing HIS people and HIS nation Israel! HE keeps them safe day and night!

Isa 27:2-3, … “A vineyard of red wine! I, the LORD, keep it, I water it every moment; Lest any hurt it, I keep it night and day.

At times it may look like the LORD isn’t doing anything to help us, but that is just wrong! It’s in HIS perfect timing that HE will respond not ours! The LORD keeps his promises! WE LIVE BY FAITH!

Rom 1:17, For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.” 

Psa 59:5, You therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, Awake to punish all the nations; Do not be merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah 

Today, so many people are worried about the Covid-19 Virus! But there is a plague coming soon on this world that will scare every single human being on this earth! HE WILL NOT BE MERCIFUL TO THOSE THAT FIGHT AGAINST HIS PEOPLE! THE LORD KEEPS HIS PROMISES!

Zec 14:12, And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: THEIR FLESH SHALL DISSOLVE WHILE THEY STAND ON THEIR FEET, THEIR EYES SHALL DISSOLVE IN THEIR SOCKETS, AND THEIR TONGUES SHALL DISSOLVE IN THEIR MOUTHS. 

Psalm 58, keeping silent!

Psa 58:1-2, …DO YOU INDEED SPEAK RIGHTEOUSNESS, YOU SILENT ONES? DO YOU JUDGE UPRIGHTLY, YOU SONS OF MEN? NO, IN HEART YOU WORK WICKEDNESS; YOU WEIGH OUT THE VIOLENCE OF YOUR HANDS IN THE EARTH.

Do ye indeed in silence speak righteousness?

David is saying “He who refrains from defending the right is himself an accomplice in the wrong”! Keeping Silent because of fear is just wrong; HE didn’t give us a spirit of fear!

2Ti 1:7, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Judges or leaders should be defending the poor and fatherless (Psalm 82:3), yet so many people keep silent especially when it comes to the word of GOD! It is up to the believer to share HIS WORD to the non-believer!

Eze 3:18, When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 

Psa 37:30, The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, And his tongue talks of justice. 

1Th 2:4, But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts. 

Psa 58:10, The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance; HE SHALL WASH HIS FEET IN THE BLOOD OF THE WICKED, 

The day of the LORD is coming and HE shall tread the winepress in HIS wrath! HIS robes shall be dipped in blood (Rev 19:13)

Isa 63:6, I have trodden down the peoples in My anger, Made them drunk in My fury, And brought down their strength to the earth.”

Keeping silent in this wicked generation condemns so many people! Don’t be afraid to speak HIS word for the Harvest is great, and HIS wrath is coming!

Mat 9:37-38, Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Psalm 57, surrounded by lions!

Psa 57:1-2, …BE MERCIFUL TO ME, O GOD, BE MERCIFUL TO ME! FOR MY SOUL TRUSTS IN YOU; AND IN THE SHADOW OF YOUR WINGS I WILL MAKE MY REFUGE, UNTIL THESE CALAMITIES HAVE PASSED BY. I will cry out to God Most High, To GOD WHO PERFORMS ALL THINGS FOR ME.

David was running for his life for over ten years, BUT HE TRUSTED IN THE LORD; ALWAYS ASKING FOR MERCI AND TO BE COVERED BY THE SHADOW OF HIS WINGS!

Mat 23:37, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! HOW OFTEN I WANTED TO GATHER YOUR CHILDREN TOGETHER, AS A HEN GATHERS HER CHICKS UNDER HER WINGS, BUT YOU WERE NOT WILLING! 

The LORD wants to cover us with HIS merci, and bless us with HIS presence! HE has plan for each of us, BUT WE BLOCK THOSE BLESSINGS BY THE WAY WE LIVE! OUR SINS PUSHES HIM AWAY, AND WE DEPEND ON MONEY RATHER THAN THE LORD! DAVID SOUGHT THE LORD FOR HIS BLESSINGS AND MERCI, BUT DO WE SEEK HIM?

Hos 11:7, MY PEOPLE ARE BENT ON BACKSLIDING FROM ME. THOUGH THEY CALL TO THE MOST HIGH, NONE AT ALL EXALT HIM. 

Jer 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 

Psa 57:4, My soul is among lions; I lie among the sons of men Who are set on fire, whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue a sharp sword. 

When your enemies seem like strong fierce lions, REMEMBER THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH MAKES THEM LOOK LIKE KITTENS!

Psa 57:5, BE EXALTED, O GOD, ABOVE THE HEAVENS; LET YOUR GLORY BE ABOVE ALL THE EARTH. 

Like Daniel in the lion’s den, David was surround by them, but his focus was on the LORD! NEVER FOCUS ON THE STORMS OF LIFE, BUT OUR FOCUS SHOULD BE ON LORD HIMSELF! HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED, FOR HE IS ABLE TO SUBDUE ANY STORM!

Mat 8:27, So the men marveled, saying, “WHO CAN THIS BE, THAT EVEN THE WINDS AND THE SEA OBEY HIM?”
