What defiles a man

Matthew 15:1-20

The religious leaders in HIS day were upset that JESUS’s disciples transgressed their tradition of not washing their hands when they eat bread!

At work I sometimes eat without washing my hands because there is no place to wash them! But GOD is more concerned of what comes out of our mouth than what comes in!

JESUS said “HEAR AND UNDERSTAND”

Matthew 15:11 NKJV

Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

Matthew 15:15

Then Peter answered and said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”

Peter apparently thought it was a parable but it’s just simple truth!

Matthew 15:16-20 NKJV

So Jesus said, “Are you also still without understanding? [17] Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? [18] But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. [19] For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. [20] These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

What comes out of our mouth always says more about us than anything else! We need to always be mindful of what we say!

I know I’m guilty of saying wrong things at times, and I notice that once it comes out of my mouth I know I shouldn’t have said it!!

Proverbs 6:14-15 NKJV

Perversity is in his heart, He devises evil continually, He sows discord. [15] Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly; Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy.

The work of GOD!

When JESUS heard that they had beheaded John the Baptist HE wanted to be alone to pray and seek comfort from the FATHER!

Matthew 14:13 NKJV

When Jesus heard it, He departed from there by boat to a deserted place by Himself. But when the multitudes heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities.

But when JESUS got to that deserted place HE saw a great multitude!

Matthew 14:14 NKJV

And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.

HIS work had to continue despite the circumstances!  HE healed the sick and feed them!  After that long day of work HE sent the multitudes away.

Matthew 14:23 NKJV

And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there.

As servants of GOD, JESUS will always be our example.  When we’re tired and just want to rest and be alone, HIS work must continue to be our priority! JESUS after a long day work finally got the comfort HE needed from HIS FATHER!

Matthew 20:28

JUST AS THE SON OF MAN DID NOT COME TO BE SERVED, BUT TO SERVE, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Remember, HIS work should always be our priority! And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men!

Matthew 13:53-58

Matthew 13:54-57 NKJV

When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works?

[55] Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?

[56] And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?”

[57] So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.”

Those that new JESUS from a youth and HIS family were offended because of hey thought they new HIM! He is just a carpenters son how can he teach us!!

We may been idiots in the past and those that knew us then can only see what we did in the past!  What they don’t see is the work of GOD in our lives!

2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Don’t dwell in your past but look towards your future with HIM! We are a new creation in HIM!!

Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV

“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. [19] Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

Parable of the Mustard seed & Leaven!

Mat 13:31-33

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,

(32)  which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

(33)  Another parable He spoke to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.”

The seed is the word of GOD, but this seed is specifically called a mustard seed which is very small? Verse 32 states that it is the least of all the seeds, can it be that this man who sowed the seed to his field used a small amount of the word?  In other words, not teaching the full council of GOD but only bits of it?  The results of this practice had tremendous, supernatural growth with a lot of corruption!  The birds are not removing the seed (their doctrine), but are resting in it; apparently o threat to the birds (the enemy)!

Verse 33 seems to confirm it because leaven is primarily used to describe sin!

We need to teach the full council of GOD, not doing so can lead to corruption and leading people further from GOD!

Acts 20:27-28 NKJV

For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. [28] Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Just contemplating over these verses?!?

The Parable of the Weeds, Matt 13:24-30

Mat 13:24-26  Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;  (25)  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.  (26)  But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
The seed is the word of GOD, and the wheat is the people of GOD! The tares resemble believers speak like believers and pray like believers but in their hearts they are not! The church will always be filled with true & false believers, until we are seperated by GOD HIMSELF!

Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ‘ ”

It’s not always possible for us to discern who is a true believer in God; (1 Timothy 5:24-25) , some people’s sins are obvious and go before them, while others remain hidden. At times, someone might appear to be living like an unbeliever—but it could simply be that they’re still learning and growing in their faith. Who are we to seperate anyone; it is not our role in life but it is the role of GOD to do the seperating at the Harvest!

It is the work of GOD that has put wisdom in the mind and understanding in our hearts (Job 38:36), but fools truely don’t give HIM access to their hearts or mind they simply have no time for HIM!

As believers we need to keep following the LORD and trusting HIM for everything! HE is faithful, and HE knows our hearts!

Isaiah 26, Come MY people enter your chambers!

Isa 26:1-2, IN THAT DAY THIS SONG WILL BE SUNG IN THE LAND OF JUDAH: “WE HAVE A STRONG CITY; GOD WILL APPOINT SALVATION FOR WALLS AND BULWARKS. OPEN THE GATES, That the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.

This is the coming of the new city of Jerusalem; the city not made by man, but by GOD HIMSELF!

Rev 21:2, THEN I, JOHN, SAW THE HOLY CITY, NEW JERUSALEM, COMING DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN FROM GOD, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

This is the same city that Abraham waited for.

Heb 11:10, FOR HE WAITED FOR THE CITY WHICH HAS FOUNDATIONS, WHOSE BUILDER AND MAKER IS GOD.

Isa 26:3-4, YOU WILL KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE, WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON YOU, BECAUSE HE TRUSTS IN YOU. TRUST IN THE LORD FOREVER, FOR IN YAH, THE LORD, IS EVERLASTING STRENGTH.

Israel had times of peace, but they were watchful for the enemy. Now, with the LORD in their mist, PERFECT PEACE WILL REIGN!

Isa 26:19, Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of herbs, And the earth shall cast out the dead.

It’s interesting the Isaiah now has a vision prior to the great tribulation; the rapture of the church is seen here! 1Thes 4:13-16

1Th 4:16, For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. AND THE DEAD IN CHRIST WILL RISE FIRST.

Isa 26:20, Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, AS IT WERE, FOR A LITTLE MOMENT, UNTIL THE INDIGNATION IS PAST.

The bride will be hidden from the tribulation which will come to the world!

Rev 3:10, BECAUSE YOU HAVE KEPT MY COMMAND TO PERSEVERE, I ALSO WILL KEEP YOU FROM THE HOUR OF TRIAL WHICH SHALL COME UPON THE WHOLE WORLD, TO TEST THOSE WHO DWELL ON THE EARTH.

Isa 26:21, FOR BEHOLD, THE LORD COMES OUT OF HIS PLACE TO PUNISH THE INHABITANTS OF THE EARTH FOR THEIR INIQUITY; THE EARTH WILL ALSO DISCLOSE HER BLOOD, AND WILL NO MORE COVER HER SLAIN.

Re-read Isaiah 24 & 25, the great tribulation! AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD; FOR WE DON’T WANT ANY PART OF THE TRIAL WHICH IS TO COME!

Isaiah 25, The veil has lifted!

Isa 25:1, O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

From the mist of tribulation of the world, Praise shall break out exalting the LORD! Isa 24:14.

Isa 25:3, THEREFORE THE STRONG PEOPLE WILL GLORIFY YOU; THE CITY OF THE TERRIBLE NATIONS WILL FEAR YOU.

No more unbelief, no more atheist; The fear of the LORD shall be known to all!

Isa 25:7, AND HE WILL DESTROY ON THIS MOUNTAIN THE SURFACE OF THE COVERING CAST OVER ALL PEOPLE, AND THE VEIL THAT IS SPREAD OVER ALL NATIONS.

The veil that covers the eyes of all none believers will be destroyed

2Co 3:15-16, BUT EVEN TO THIS DAY, WHEN MOSES IS READ, A VEIL LIES ON THEIR HEART. NEVERTHELESS WHEN ONE TURNS TO THE LORD, THE VEIL IS TAKEN AWAY.

Isa 25:8, HE WILL SWALLOW UP DEATH FOREVER, AND THE LORD GOD WILL WIPE AWAY TEARS FROM ALL FACES; THE REBUKE OF HIS PEOPLE HE WILL TAKE AWAY FROM ALL THE EARTH; FOR THE LORD HAS SPOKEN.

The tribulation is over and the LORD Reigns on the earth! No more death, no more fear; and HE will wipe away our tears of pure joy from our eyes! THIS IS OUR GOD!

Rev 21:4, AND GOD WILL WIPE AWAY EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES; THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH, NOR SORROW, NOR CRYING. THERE SHALL BE NO MORE PAIN, FOR THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY.”

Isa 25:9, AND IT WILL BE SAID IN THAT DAY: “BEHOLD, THIS IS OUR GOD; WE HAVE WAITED FOR HIM, AND HE WILL SAVE US. THIS IS THE LORD; WE HAVE WAITED FOR HIM; WE WILL BE GLAD AND REJOICE IN HIS SALVATION.”

The Jewish nation will come to know that HE whom they have rejected (Acts 4:11), JESUS, is their long-awaited MESSIAH.

Zec 12:10, …THEN THEY WILL LOOK ON ME WHOM THEY PIERCED. YES, THEY WILL MOURN FOR HIM AS ONE MOURNS FOR HIS ONLY SON, AND GRIEVE FOR HIM AS ONE GRIEVES FOR A FIRSTBORN.

Imagine denying HIM for almost 2000 years only to find out that HE is their MESSIAH! Yes they will mourn for they pierced their own Messiah out of ignorance and pride, but now their eyes are now opened! Remember, GOD uses everything, even their ignorance, to bring salvation to the world! THANK YOU, LORD!

Isaiah 24, The DAY OF THE LORD!

Isa 24:1, BEHOLD, THE LORD MAKES THE EARTH EMPTY AND MAKES IT WASTE, DISTORTS ITS SURFACE AND SCATTERS ABROAD ITS INHABITANTS.

Isaiah now sees the great tribulation, the day of the LORD; which will hit the entire world!

Isa 24:2, And it shall be: As with THE PEOPLE, so with THE PRIEST; As with THE SERVANT, so with HIS MASTER; As with THE MAID, so with HER MISTRESS…. Buyer, seller, lender, etc.

No one will escape this wrath, their money will be useless, their influence gone; whether rich or poor judgement has come to all!

Isa 24:3, THE LAND SHALL BE ENTIRELY EMPTIED AND UTTERLY PLUNDERED, FOR THE LORD HAS SPOKEN THIS WORD.

There shall be areas completely wipe out, but according to scripture one third will be killed!

Rev 9:15, SO THE FOUR ANGELS, WHO HAD BEEN PREPARED FOR THE HOUR AND DAY AND MONTH AND YEAR, WERE RELEASED TO KILL A THIRD OF MANKIND.

Isa 24:5-6, The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, BECAUSE THEY HAVE TRANSGRESSED THE LAWS, CHANGED THE ORDINANCE, BROKEN THE EVERLASTING COVENANT. THEREFORE THE CURSE HAS DEVOURED THE EARTH, AND THOSE WHO DWELL IN IT ARE DESOLATE. THEREFORE THE INHABITANTS OF THE EARTH ARE BURNED, AND FEW MEN ARE LEFT.

Man have defiled themselves and the earth with his sin and wickedness. So, judgement comes! The whole chapter describes the people mourning, the earth split opened, and great fear, but after they will see the coming KING!

Mar 13:26, THEN THEY WILL SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN THE CLOUDS WITH GREAT POWER AND GLORY.

Isa 24:23, THEN THE MOON WILL BE DISGRACED AND THE SUN ASHAMED; FOR THE LORD OF HOSTS WILL REIGN ON MOUNT ZION AND IN JERUSALEM AND BEFORE HIS ELDERS, GLORIOUSLY.

HIS shekinah glory shall be seen upon the earth, and HIS light will be greater than any light ever seen! THE KING IS COMING, ALL BOW DOWN, THE KING IS NEAR BE READY!

Rev 21:23, The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, FOR THE GLORY OF GOD ILLUMINATED IT. THE LAMB IS ITS LIGHT.

Isaiah 23, HE brings dishonor to all prideful nations!

Isa 23:1, THE BURDEN AGAINST TYRE. WAIL, YOU SHIPS OF TARSHISH! FOR IT IS LAID WASTE, SO THAT THERE IS NO HOUSE, NO HARBOR; …

The people of Tyre were known as Phoenicians who had many ships. It was the commercial capital of the world bringing in good and material from all over the known world!

Isa 23:9, THE LORD OF HOSTS HAS PURPOSED IT, TO BRING TO DISHONOR THE PRIDE OF ALL GLORY, TO BRING INTO CONTEMPT ALL THE HONORABLE OF THE EARTH.

Because of it’s great success as a shipping harbor Tyre became proud of it’s accomplishments! PRIDE is an abomination to the LORD, and to think that our country celebrates PRIDE with it’s own month! JUDGEMENT IS COMING!

Pro 16:5, EVERYONE PROUD IN HEART IS AN ABOMINATION TO THE LORD; Though they join forces, NONE WILL GO UNPUNISHED.

Isa 23:13, Behold, the land of the Chaldeans, This people which was not; Assyria founded it for wild beasts of the desert. THEY SET UP ITS TOWERS, THEY RAISED UP ITS PALACES, AND BROUGHT IT TO RUIN.

The main land of Tyre was indeed defeated by both the Assyrians and Babylonians. The people Tyre moved out to a small island off it’s shores to get away from Alexander the Great!

Eze 26:12, They will plunder your riches and pillage your merchandise; they will break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses; THEY WILL LAY YOUR STONES, YOUR TIMBER, AND YOUR SOIL IN THE MIDST OF THE WATER.

In order to reach Tyre who were on the island, Alexander had to make a land bridge from the ruins of Tyre. Strange prophecy, but it fulfilled by Alexander the Great!

The destruction of these nations will continue, but there is one kingdom which will never end!

Dan 7:13-14, “I was watching in the night visions, And behold, ONE LIKE THE SON OF MAN, COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him. THEN TO HIM WAS GIVEN DOMINION AND GLORY AND A KINGDOM, THAT ALL PEOPLES, NATIONS, AND LANGUAGES SHOULD SERVE HIM. HIS DOMINION IS AN EVERLASTING DOMINION, WHICH SHALL NOT PASS AWAY, AND HIS KINGDOM THE ONE WHICH SHALL NOT BE DESTROYED.

The kingdom of the COMING KING, JESUS is from everlasting to everlasting! And HE Shall reign forever! The pride of nations and people will come to an end! Be Ready HE is COMING!

Isaiah 22, Humble yourselves before the LORD!

Isa 22:1, The burden against the VALLEY OF VISION. What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops

The LORD used Jerusalem to give vision or revelation to Israel and the world; Valley of Vision is Jerusalem! Pro 29:18. This is the burden against GOD’s own people in Judah! WHAT GOOD IS A VISION OR REVELATION IF YOU IGNORE THEM?

Isa 22:2-3, You who are full of noise, A tumultuous city, a joyous city? YOUR SLAIN MEN ARE NOT SLAIN WITH THE SWORD, NOR DEAD IN BATTLE. ALL YOUR RULERS HAVE FLED TOGETHER; They are captured by the archers. All who are found in you are bound together; THEY HAVE FLED FROM AFAR.

Jerusalem was surrounded by the Chaldeans, Babylon, but the men of Judah didn’t die in battle, but they died by starvation, and pestilence. Others died by trying to sneak out of Jerusalem. 2Ki 25:4-5

Jer 38:2, “Thus says the LORD: ‘He who remains in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence; but he who goes over to the Chaldeans shall live; his life shall be as a prize to him, and he shall live.’

Isa 22:4-5, Therefore I said, “LOOK AWAY FROM ME, I WILL WEEP BITTERLY; Do not labor to comfort me Because of THE PLUNDERING OF THE DAUGHTER OF MY PEOPLE.” For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity BY THE LORD GOD OF HOSTS IN THE VALLEY OF VISION

Isaiah was crying when he saw this vision of his own people being plundered; for Israel has rejected GOD! GOD removed Judah’s protection! Isa 22:8

Isa 22:11-12, … BUT YOU DID NOT LOOK TO ITS MAKER, NOR DID YOU HAVE RESPECT FOR HIM WHO FASHIONED IT LONG AGO. And in that day the LORD GOD OF HOSTS CALLED FOR WEEPING AND FOR MOURNING, FOR BALDNESS AND FOR GIRDING WITH SACKCLOTH.

The LORD wanted HIS people to turn to HIM for help; HE wanted HIS people to humble themselves before the LORD

Isa 22:13, But instead, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating meat and drinking wine: “LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE!”

2Ch 7:14, IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN I WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND HEAL THEIR LAND.

Judah was conquered by Babylon for they refused to listen and humble themselves before their GOD!

Lam 3:40, LET US SEARCH OUT AND EXAMINE OUR WAYS, AND TURN BACK TO THE LORD;
